Arki-Bond UW

Premium cementitious tile adhesive for completely submerged water conditions.

**Arki-Bond UW** is a polymer-modified cementitious tile adhesive, formulated using Portland cement, graded silica sand, polymer materials, specific modifiers, fillers, and chemicals. When mixed with water, it provides a durable, thin-bed adhesive layer for ceramic tiles used in swimming pools and other areas subject to continuous contact with water.

01 Surface Preparation

All surfaces must be clean, sound, and free from loose or weakly adhering particles. Remove concrete laitance by wire brushing, grinding, sandblasting, or high-pressure water jetting. Concrete surfaces must be at least 3–4 weeks old, depending on the climatic conditions.

02 Mixing

Slowly add **Arki-Bond UW** to approximately 6 liters of clean water while mixing. Use a slow-speed electric mixer fitted with a mixing paddle for at least 2 minutes until a smooth and non-sag consistency is achieved. Allow the mix to rest for 5–10 minutes before use.

03 Application

Spread the mixed adhesive using a trowel and comb it with a suitably sized notched trowel to create a ribbed adhesive bed. Install the tiles within the open time of the product, pressing firmly with a slight twisting motion to ensure full contact. If a surface skin forms, re-trowel the adhesive before placing the tiles.

04 Cleaning

Clean excess adhesive from the tile surface and grout joints using a damp cloth before it dries. Tools must be washed with clean water immediately after use.
