Arkimix PV1 is a P.V.A based emulsion used as a mortar additive, primer and sealer. It increases the adhesion, flexibility, tensile strength and impact resistance of mortars.
The formulation is high in solids and can be diluted at various ratios depending on the application, making Arkimix PV1 a very economical solution.
All surfaces should be structurally sound, dry, clean and free from dust, grease, oil, wax, curing compounds and any other loose contaminating materials.
Ensure all release agents are removed from the concrete surface, especially tilt-up slabs. Painted surfaces should be scabbled to expose at least 80% of the original surface. Steel trowel finished concrete must be acid etched or wire brushed before tiling. Old concrete and rendered surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned before tiling.
