Arki-Primer AR

Water-based acrylic bonding agent for cementitious repair systems.

Arki-Primer AR is a water-based acrylic bonding agent developed for interior and exterior applications. It is designed to provide excellent adhesion between existing concrete or masonry substrates and new cementitious repair mortars or renders, eliminating the need for labour-intensive mechanical roughening. The primer penetrates porous surfaces, withstands humidity and varying temperatures, and is unaffected by the alkalinity of lime plaster and Portland cement, making it a reliable solution for concrete repair and surface preparation.

Usage Instructions

Follow each step for best results.

01 Surface Preparation

Remove all loose material, oil, grease, dust, efflorescence and laitance. Sweep or blow out with air. Temper area but do not leave standing water.

02 Mixing

Arki-Primer AR is supplied ready for use and requires no mixing. Stir the material thoroughly before application to ensure a uniform consistency.

03 Application

Apply Arki-Primer AR evenly using a brush, ensuring complete coverage and penetration into all pores and crevices. Apply the repair mortar while the primer is still wet or tacky. If the primer dries before application, reapply a fresh coat. Typical coverage is 4–6 m² per litre, depending on substrate porosity.

04 Cleaning

Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
