Arki-Dur L

Corrosion and chemical-resistant epoxy-based lining mortar

Arki-Dur L is a solvent-free, two-component epoxy resin-based mortar engineered to provide an impermeable, chemically resistant protective lining for concrete, brickwork, steel, and other substrates, offering excellent adhesion and high resistance to mechanical damage.

Uses

  • Lining bricks or tiles in reaction vessels, floors, channels, and towers requiring high levels of adhesion and chemical resistance
  • Recommended for the pulp and paper industry due to its good resistance to bleach liquors
  • Suitable for breweries, food processing, and pharmaceutical industries

Advantages

  • Excellent corrosion resistance and durability retention
  • Excellent resistance to a wide range of industrial chemicals
  • High resistance to both high and low pH (acidic and alkaline) levels
  • Suitable for both vertical and horizontal applications
  • Impermeable finish providing an easy-to-clean surface
  • Excellent resistance to mechanical damage and wear

Usage Instructions

Follow each step for best results.

01 Surface Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are structurally sound, dry, clean, roughened, and free from surface contaminants. Proper and thorough surface preparation is essential for the immediate and long-term performance of Arki-Dur L. New concrete must be at least 4 weeks old with a moisture content not exceeding 5%. Steel surfaces must be grit blasted to SA 2½ standard quality in accordance with BS 7079 and ISO 8501.
Pour the entire contents of the hardener container (Part B) into the base container (Part A), and mix thoroughly for approximately 3 minutes until the mortar is completely homogeneous.
Apply the mixed material to the application area within the product’s pot life. The application thickness specified in the technical data sheet is 1–8 mm. Epoxy materials may appear hardened and dry to the touch before complete chemical cross-linking is achieved. For optimal performance, allow the epoxy to cure for 6–7 days before exposing it to water or other chemicals.
Clean all mixing and application tools immediately after use using Arki-Solv 1.
